H.H. Holmes Testing Laboratories has more than 70 years of experience in helping our clients execute large land development projects. Our customer base includes architects, engineers, developers, contractors, government agencies and consultants. Our expertise has been applied to a great variety of projects that required considerable mass earth work: high-rise buildings and business parks, roads and bridges, mass transit, wind farms, airports, subdivisions, military base structures including housing, etc.

Start to Finish: We will bring our expertise in drilling, soil analysis, environmental assessments and foundation design recommendations to your project. We will then continue to work with you providing observation and testing and making recommendations from the preparation of the soil for building pads and roads through the installation of sidewalks, curbs and asphalt. Our laboratory services span the full range of construction materials testing, exploration and analysis of soils and testing and reporting on concrete, aggregate, asphalt, masonry and steel.
Subsurface Exploration: We own and operate all our own drill rigs which are diverse in their capabilities. Our certified drilling technicians use truck-mounted drill rigs for drilling and sampling. Our Mobile B3500, our all-terrain pickup mounted drill rig is capable of drilling in virtually any location or conditions—including indoors. Our Mobile B-4700 model is our larger more powerful drill rig. And our newest drill rig, the CME 7500 is also our most capable and most powerful rig. In addition, we have a skid rig that is used for drilling in otherwise inaccessible locations including certain indoor situations. Our rigs are equipped to meet your drilling needs with 2¼, 3¼ and 4¼ inch hollow stem augers and we are equipped to perform mud rotary drilling, rock coring and the installation of monitoring wells.
Portable Labs: H.H. Holmes Testing has advanced the technology of portable lab facilities to meet our clients' quality assurance needs when removing samples to a fixed lab location is not cost-effective or when a lab wholly dedicated to your project is required. An on-site lab staffed with trained field and lab personnel can provide swift test results so work can proceed without delay.
